Generating an ACH file

 
1.     Go under Payables, then Payment Entry and then File\Generate Payments. Generate Check Run in Visual making sure that the Output Type is Export_file.
 
2.     Review and validate checks generated.
3.     Post Payments.
4.     Open the ACH Module and select a Start date. The main grid will populate with the information coming from check run generated
5.     Click Process: the app will transfer all records to an auxiliary table
6.     Click Generate file: Once the records have been transferred to the auxiliary table, the app is ready to generate the ACH file as per the Bank specifications.
7.     Click Save ACH File to save it on the predefined directory.
8.     From this step on, follow the bank instructions to load the ACH file on the Financial Institution’s website.
